One of my favorite days during the commencement season is the moving up ceremony at Hostos Lincoln Academy of Science. Why is it a “moving up” ceremony and not an 8th grade graduation? Because we are a 6 through 12 school. Our fearless leader Principal Nicholas Paarlberg reminds us every year that while this is absolutely an important milestone…it is a bench mark - not the culmination. We still have diplomas, and degrees and college credits to earn!
