The partnership between Hostos Lincoln Academy of Science (HLA) and Hostos Community College (HCC) is a beautiful meeting of institutions whose missions revolve around serving and supporting the South Bronx Community. This partnership is supported by CUNY’s Early College Initiative - a program that was on the fore front of revolutionizing the relationships between DOE and CUNY - and is paving the way for a shift in the conversation about “specialized schools.”
